Educational leader and emerging researcher (convocation in June 2025) with over 15 years of K-12 and adult teaching experience in second language and plurilingual settings
Obtained over $160,000 in grants and bursaries (eg. SSHRC Connections Grant, Alberta Teachers’ Association Professional Improvement Fellowship, Alberta Foundation for the Arts) for initiatives and research projects that have had a direct impact on improving the learning conditions and experiences of language learners
Actively engaged in knowledge mobilization and dissemination through the organization of conferences, symposia, and in-service professional learning and mentorship to over 1000 teachers and school leaders in immersion and bilingual programs
Recent and forthcoming publications include an educator resource on translanguaging and culturally sustaining pedagogies, co-edited books on transcultural literacies for multilingual learners and innovative methodologies in languages and literacies research, as well as an article on teacher emotions in multilingual teaching contexts
